A Daily Devotion for the Year Ahead

As we step into a new year, Community Baptist Church is beginning 2026 with intention, prayer, and a renewed focus on staying rooted in God’s Word.

Starting January 5, 2026, Pastor Powell will begin a daily devotion, created to guide and encourage us throughout the entire year. This devotional journey is designed to help us pause each day, reflect on Scripture, and stay spiritually anchored, no matter what 2026 brings.

In a world that moves fast and often pulls us in many directions, these daily devotions will serve as a steady touchpoint: a moment to reset, refocus, and reconnect with God in the mornings as you start your day.

Each daily devotion will provide Scripture-centered reflection, consistent rhythm of spiritual grounding and practical encouragement for everyday living.

To make this devotion accessible and part of your daily routine, each entry will be shared via the CBC Instagram and Facebook @CBCofSomerset, as well as the CBC website for deeper reflection and easy reference.

This is more than a reading plan, it’s an invitation to walk through the year together as a church family, growing in faith one day at a time under Pastor Powell’s spiritual leadership.
